Senator Rex Wilson brings something to the State Senate that Santa Fe sees too little of: a lifetime of real work in the communities he represents. He has run Wilson Ranch in Lincoln County for nearly forty years. He spent close to two decades as Southern Region Director for Presbyterian Medical Services, helping deliver healthcare to the rural communities most often overlooked. He served seven years as a Lincoln County Commissioner, five of them as Chairman, learning firsthand what it takes to govern responsibly and answer directly to the people who put you there.

That experience shapes every position he takes in Santa Fe. Senator Wilson stands firm for the values that built rural New Mexico and refuses to back down when progressive policies threaten the families, freedoms, and way of life of District 33.

He is fighting for safer communities and stronger law enforcement, backing the officers who protect our families and supporting tougher penalties for those who threaten them. He is fighting for accessible rural healthcare, drawing on decades of experience to bring more doctors to underserved areas and keep the providers we have from leaving the state. He is fighting for fiscal responsibility and lower taxes, opposing the runaway spending and tax hikes that punish working families while delivering little in return. He is fighting for constitutional freedoms, pushing back against gun control proposals that target law-abiding citizens instead of criminals. And he is fighting for the working families of District 33, defeating extreme environmental mandates that threatened jobs and energy costs across rural New Mexico.

Senator Wilson's approach is straightforward and proven: show up, speak plainly, force the hard conversations, build coalitions when possible, and stand firm when it matters most. That is the work he was sent to Santa Fe to do, and it is the work he will keep doing for the families of Chaves, Lincoln, and Otero counties.
